Czech Open 2023: 2nd press release

Beroun will be once again”Home” of Czech Open. Ladies Europen Tour took place in June with prize money of 300 000 EUR and now it is men´s turn. Royal Beroun Golf Club will be hosting it´s 9th season of Czech Open from August 17 – August 20, 2023, with prize money of 600 000 CZK, for PRO winner it makes 200 000 CZK.

Once again this tournament is both PRO and AM players from Czech republic and abroad. “We are glad to receive such interest from foreign players. We are have registrations from players from 8 foreign countries. We take it as a reward for our trips and communications with golf associations and organizations abroad” said president of Royal Beroun Golf Club, Vojtěch Matějček.

Max account of players for this year is 156 players and already half is already filled. One of the registered players is Carl Suneson, Spanish PRO who won one of the European Series, today´s DP World Tour and six others on Challenge Tour.

A year ago it was Julian Brun from France who was the first non Czech player to win Czech Open in Beroun. It was during play off with Aleš Kořínek when he scored 60 points to win and score record for the Beroun golf course as well.

Tournament program:

  • 16.8.: Pro-Am Junior
  • 17.8.: 1st round
  • 18.8.: 2nd round and cut for 40 players plus ties
  • 19.8.: 3rd round
  • 20.8.: 4th final round plus announcement of the Winner + Winners & Partners´Party
